Job Description:
We are working with a local authority who are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their Corporate Finance team.
A key focus of the role is to ensure that financial management, accounting and budgetary control/reporting arrangements are working effectively.
Location: Southwest based Authority
Set-up: Hybrid – 1 day per week minimum required on-site
Duration: 6-month initial contract, likely extension
Hours: Full-time position
Rate: Negotiable DOE
Finance Manager
* Responsible for monitoring cash flows and budgets, preparing management accounts, financial reports and interpreting financial information
* Manage financial planning and decision making
* Overseeing financial accounting and reporting duties
* Prepare analytical financial information and responsible for the analysis of trends and forecasts
The successful candidate will:
* Have minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role
* Be AAT qualified to a minimum of Level 3
* Strong attention to details
* Excellent communication skills
* Must’ve worked within Local Government previously
