Skills Required:
* Proficiency in hematology
* Expertise in morphology analysis
* Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control in laboratory practices
* Ability to interpret and report laboratory findings accurately and efficiently
* Experience in using laboratory information systems and relevant software
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with colleagues and healthcare professionals
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory practices
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform various hematological tests including full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film examinations.
* Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
* Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
* Participate in quality control procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication of laboratory findings.
* Provide training and support to junior staff and participate in continuing professional development activities.
