Specialising in the care and education for pupils aged 7-11 who have an Education Health and Care Plan. Pupils have a range of needs, from Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) & Autism. . . The successful candidate will hold responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of Primary aged pupils with SEMH & Additional Needs, focusing on curriculum, teaching and learning, behaviour ensuring successful outcomes for our pupils. . . The successful candidate will need to have had effective past experience of working with SEN pupils. A high work ethic, efficient administration skills, competent IT skills and the ability to inspire and lead others in the primary staff team are necessary. . . PRIMARY CONTRACT DETAILS:. . Location: Southampton, Hampshire . Position: Primary Teacher . Type of work: Primary School Teacher, SEN . Start Date: ASAP . Contract type: Long-term / Permanent . Full time/part time: Full time . Paid to scale: GBP145-200 per day . Hours: 8am 4pm, plus parents evenings, SLT meetings . . EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:. * QTS, PGCE or equivalent. * Previous experience working in a UK school. * Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year is desirable but not essential as Prospero Teaching offer free a course.. Desirable:. Experience with Special Educational Needs mainly: SEMH & Complex Needs.
