Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Band 5/6 mental health nurse for one of the well-known Mental Health Trusts in the North West.
Description:
* Support the Unit Manager in providing clinical and professional leadership within the designated clinical area of responsibility.
* Support the Unit Manager and colleagues in the implementation of Trust’s policies and protocols. Also adhere to those of the prison.
* Ensure the delivery of optimal quality of care.
* Advocate and implement evidence-based clinical practice and development.
* Collaboratively implement change management.
* Provide care in partnership with service users, the prison service, care, criminal justice-related agencies, and allied agencies.
* Care for both mental health, physical, and palliative conditions.
* Deputise when required appropriately.
* Deliver group health promotion groups and therapeutic 1-1 sessions.
* Deliver personal care.
Skills & Experience:
* Registered RMN - post preceptorship.
* Demonstrable experience of working in a healthcare setting relevant to specialism.
* Experience in secure, forensic, or prison settings.
* Awareness of MDT and multi-agency working.
* Understanding of the nursing process in accordance with evidence-based practice.
* Awareness and application of trauma-informed care.
