Skills Required:
* Proficiency in haematology
* Experience in blood transfusion processes and techniques
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Familiarity with relevant health and safety protocols and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a range of haematological and blood transfusion laboratory tests and analyses.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results, adhering to quality control standards.
* Participate in the validation and implementation of new laboratory techniques and procedures.
* Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
* Provide support and guidance to junior staff and contribute to the training and development of colleagues.
* Assist in the management and inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
* Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
