Job Description:
A vacancy has opened up in Barking and Dagenham for a Service Manager on the Children’s Assessment Team!
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Job Purpose
* To lead and Provide overall operational and strategic management of a Service Area within Children’s Care and Support.
* To ensure the effective and timely delivery of appropriate intervention and support services to children and their families.
* To ensure that national, local and service performance targets and priorities are met.
* To ensure that the Service delivers consistently high standards of practice, good customer focus and effective professional interface.
* To ensure Children’s Care and Support is run as an effective and efficient business
Statutory Requirements
* This post carries a requirement to have a Disclosure and Baring Service check for either Adults, Children’s, or both.
* This post carries a requirement to have a SWE registration.
* A Safer People for Safer Services form has been completed for this post.
Job Requirements
* Substantial direct experience of supervising qualified practitioners undertaking statutory safeguarding work.
* Substantial direct experience of, recruiting, leading and managing staff at different levels in an organisation.
* Experience of chairing a range of complex meetings with both internal and external partners.
* Experience of managing and addressing poor performance, and also promoting and celebrating good performance.
* Experience of managing budgets and an understanding of value for money.
