This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Solicitor with an in-house background to join a quickly evolving business at an exciting time.
  
You’ll play a key role as leader of the in-house Legal function, carrying out a range of duties, including:
* Negotiate, draft and review a wide variety of bespoke, complex agreements (including IP / trademarks etc) to ensure the business is well protected
* Oversee the Legal function, develop team members, and play a vital role in business wide transformation projects 
* Provide sound legal and regulatory advice to internal teams and senior exec group to facilitate Board level decision making
* Lead on Corporate governance, legal risk management and regulatory compliance
* Help to influence the Group Legal strategy across the business, implement policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance, and deliver training to keep the business abreast of sector specific regulation
Ideally we are looking for UK qualified Commercial Solicitors from 5 PQE upwards, with experience of acting on high value, complex commercial contracts. A wider in-house background is preferable, as the role holder will add their expertise to Senior level commercial decisions, shape regulatory policy, improve processes, and lead the existing in-house team. You’ll ply a key role as a trusted advisor to the CEO/CFO, so experience of a fast paced business environment will be very beneficial.
