Job Description:
We need passionate and experienced mental health nurse to work in a well-established team at an acute hospital in the South East England, toassist and supporting general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.
Description As a staff nurse / preceptorship nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Upholding our core values of promoting openness, transparency, and learning.
* Effectively running the shift and attending regular meetings to review and monitor patients’ care plans.
* Building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns.
* Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring side effects.
* Accurately recording patient information and communicating with other MDT staff regarding patient care needs.
* Offering support and supervising the practice of junior staff and student nurses to ensure safe and effective nursing practice within a secure environment.
* Performing administrative duties, including the screening, assessment, and follow-up support of patients.
* Providing care and support to patients and families and working effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
Skills * Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD / Adult) appropriate to the job role.
* Knowledge of child and adult safeguarding procedures.
* Ability to manage change, organize, and prioritize workloads.
* Demonstrated ability to enhance care through evidence-based knowledge.
* Professional development relevant to the care group.
* Ability to assess and manage clinical risk.
