We are seeking a skilled and experienced Criminal Solicitor to join our client’s dynamic team as a Duty Solicitor. With the opportunity for overtime and bonuses, this position is perfect for those looking to advance their career in criminal law.
Day to Day of the role: * Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various criminal cases.
* Conduct client interviews, gather evidence, and prepare legal documentation.
* Represent clients in court proceedings, including bail applications, trials, and appeals.
* Attend police stations to offer advice and assistance to individuals in custody.
* Liaise with external agencies such as the Crown Prosecution Service and the police.
* Stay current with developments in criminal law and ensure compliance with legal regulations and professional standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Valid practising certificate as a Solicitor and accreditation as a Duty Solicitor.
* Experience as a Criminal Solicitor, ideally within a reputable law firm.
* Strong knowledge of criminal law, legal procedures, and the criminal justice system.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage a high caseload.
* Proficiency in legal software and databases.
