Support Worker * Location: Chester, Wirral

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the Chester, Wirral area. The role involves promoting the independence of a 68-year-old man in his own home. You will be expected to provide a high standard of care, addressing all aspects of the service user’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs. This position requires a proactive and reactive approach to ensure the service user’s comfort and safety.
Day-to-day of the role: * Provide comprehensive care that meets the service user’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs.
* Use initiative and work proactively to ensure the service user is comfortable and safe within his own home.
* Work flexibly and autonomously, responding to the service user’s needs as they arise.
* Commit to working 3-5 shifts per week, with shift patterns typically being 12 hours, including day shifts starting at 8 am and finishing at 8 pm, or waking night shifts from 8 pm to 8 am.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Previous experience working with adults who have suffered from dementia and presented emotional or behavioural difficulties.
* Understanding of appropriate safeguarding practices.
* Ability to confidently support each individual’s specific needs.
* Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously with a degree of initiative.
