The team provides high-quality legal advice and services in various private and legally aided disciplines, including Criminal Defence. 
Responsibilities:
* Case Management: * Develop and handle a caseload of crime work, including representation at the Police Station and Magistrates Court
* Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance

* Business Development: * Actively develop and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new business

* Client Representation: * Provide high-quality client care and maintain professionalism and integrity at all times
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, professionals and third parties

Qualifications:
* Current practicing certificate for either the SRA or CILEX
* Willingness to become duty-qualified if not already accredited
Experience and Skills:
* Ability to run your own caseload autonomously
* Competence in marketing and building a caseload
* Strong advocacy skills with the ability and willingness to conduct own advocacy
* Procedural and technical competence in criminal law
* Ability to work to short deadlines, under pressure and to financial targets
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* PC literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
