ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY CONTRACT: . A medium-sized secondary school . An Ofsted rated ’good’ school . Knowledge of AQA would be great but not essential . Psychology is taught at KS4 and KS5 . Psychology is part of the Science faculty . Supportive team and a strong leader . Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery and assessment . This is a full-time position including liasing with the SLT, managing a small team, planning and marking . Interviewing ASAP . . THE RIGHT HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY WILL BE: . Hold a degree and PGCE in Psychology . Confident with teaching Alevel . · Proven ability to raise attainment . Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box . . · THE SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: . Experience teaching Psychology up to Alevel . · Ability to raise attainment . UK classroom teaching experience . Eligibility to work in the UK . Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years . A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service . . THE RIGHT Head of Psychology WILL BE: . · Hold a BSc and PGCE in Psychology . · Confident with teaching Psychology . · Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box .
