Job Description:
Housing and Support Officer Vacancy

A well-established Surrey based charity are currently recruiting for a Housing and Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis in Walton-on-Thames.
Type of contract: Temporary
Length of contract: 6 months, with the possibility of extension and permanent work
Hours: 39 hours per week on a shift rota
Shifts: Monday to Friday, between 8:00am – 8:00pm
Location: Walton-on-Thames
Role responsibilities:
* Support clients to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible
* Pro-actively access risks in relation to the vulnerability of clients and putting plans in place to manage those risks
* Managing own caseload – providing holistic support to meet individuals needs using support plans/outcome stars
* Participate in all tenancy related tasks including management of voids; tenancy sign up and anu enforcement of tenancy obligations
* Carry out required health and safety checks of the service and record these appropriately
* Reporting any repairs issues via the maintenance team
* Ensure all relevant data and reports are recorded in a timely manner
* Work effectively as part of a team both internally and externally with colleagues; other agencies; attending multi agency meetings and clients
Essential requirements:
* An Enhanced DBS with the Adults lists checked from within the last 3 years or willingness to apply
* Full UK Driving Licence with access to own car + business insurance
* Knowledge of working with vulnerable clients with mental health and substance misuse issues
