Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Part Qualified Accountant to take on a leadership role within the Accounting & Finance Department of a respected entity within the Not For Profit sector, based in Birmingham.

Description
Your duties will include:
* Supervise day-to-day accounting using Xero and associated software.
* Manage Xero Budget Manager for accurate financial reporting.
* Produce monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
* Ensure timely processing of finance across teams for monthly accounts and forecasts.
* Collaborate with external accountants to maintain up-to-date cloud-based records and assist with year-end accounts.
* Arrange external independent reviews of accounts and file VAT returns.
* Ensure staff time and leave are logged using Citrus HR software, integrated with Xero Payroll.
* Process monthly payroll and control automated payments.
* Develop and update evidence-based financial strategies and budget forecasts.
* Brief teams on financial profiles and targets.
* Review funding agreements and ensure compliance with financial regulations and funder requirements
* Authorize and update capital project financial forecasts, including CapEx, finance, grants, VAT liability, and cash flow.
* Ensure financial obligations are met, including loan repayments and grant funding reports.
* Support financial modelling and growth plans for immersive products and services.
* Assist with strategic funding bids and budgeting.
* Review and improve financial processes across the organization.
* Ensure overall financial compliance.
Profile
Successful candidates will need to have:
* 1-2 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of Xero, other accounting software, and Excel.
* Experience in strategic financial planning and forecasting.
* Experience with capital project finance.
* Experience with financial operations across a group company structure.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders.
* Thorough, accurate, proactive, and detail-oriented.
* Ability to identify solutions and lead company-wide improvements.
* Responsive to competing needs in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
