We are supporting a London based University recruiting for a Finance Assistant to support with their Research Services Team.
The postholder will provide support to the Research Services team with post-award activities in administering the research funding.
Responsibilities include:
* Setting-up new research awards on the finance system
* Ensuring the accurate calculation and transfer of indirect cost funding
* Raising of invoices to Sponsors and processing claims
* Liaising with Central Finance with regards to activating research grants on the general ledger
* Reconciling project financials and identifying variances
* Requesting project closure at the project end, being responsible for the closure of accounts
* Responding to general queries directed to the team from internal and external sources with guidance from colleagues when necessary
Specification: 
* Role Open to Finance and Accounting Graduates or someone who has working finance experience
Length: 3 months temporary to permanent
Hourly rate equivalent of salary (£35,273 - £35,956 pa)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: London
Hybrid working pattern: 60% Office based, 40% working from home
