Occupational Therapist, £29ph, Mental Health, London
Pertemps are recruiting for qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists with Mental Health experience to be based in the Adult Social Care Mental Health department. The occupational therapist role within the Care and support team (Mental Health) will hold a case load of clients providing OT interventions, work with the Social Workers and Assistant Practitioners to provide specialist OT assessments for the clients on their caseloads and undertake some generic social care functions as necessary.
The OT has a key role in providing interventions to increase adult functioning and to ensure that a strengths based approach is used in support planning, reducing risk and promoting independence.
Requirements:
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with at least one recognised OT qualification
* Experience of supporting adults with limitations caused by mental illness/impairment, including 1:1 work, the identification of needs and planning and implementing treatment
* Experience of using OT specific assessments and/or strategies to support independence
