Permanent Procurement Lead Officer
Our client, a large and well-respected body in the West Midlands is seeking a permanent Procurement Lead Officer, as a result of expanding the team.
About the role
In this post you will be responsible for:
* Provide innovative strategic advice and develop and implement appropriate procurement sourcing strategies
* Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with internal customers, key stakeholders, and public, private and third sector suppliers
* Raise the profile of procurement through the increase of cross-functional team working and networking with internal customers and stakeholder
* Support mobilisation post contract award by leading on specific contract management processes and supplier relationship management
* Ensure all tender instructions provided to suppliers are clear and transparent, specifically for complex tenders
About you
To be successful in this post you will:
* Possess previous procurement experience in a public sector environment
* Have the ability to negotiate and influence key internal and external stakeholders
* Hold CIPS accreditation, this would be advantageous but is not essential
