Axon Moore are supporting a successful Private Equity backed business in West Yorkshire in their search for a Group Financial Controller.

The Group Financial Controller is a visible leadership role within the organisation, and the successful candidate will be tasked with helping the business embark on a change plan to improve systems, processes and performance, ultimately creating value for shareholders.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

* Oversight of the consolidated monthly management accounts and relevant aspects of the board pack
* Leadership of the finance team
* Closely monitoring and overseeing the company cash position and cashflow on a regular basis
* Ensuring robust financial control frameworks are improved and adhered to
* Providing support to commercial areas of the business, involved with supplier negotiations and key customer relationships
* Reviewing existing systems and processes and proactively making recommendations to the board for improvement

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills and experience

* Qualified finance leader – strong preference for ACA Qualified from a Big 4 or Top 10 Accounting practice background
* Able to manage and understand complex business models and data
* Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
* Proactive, engaging and confident communicator, able to win support and influence decision making
* Experience within a Private Equity backed business would be highly desirable
