Head of FP&A | North Manchester (2 days in office) | £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus | PE backed

Axon Moore are working exclusively with a PE backed business who are looking to add a commercially astute Head of FP&A to their team.

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for someone to head up the FP&A function, inheriting a team of 2 direct reports which is likely to grow to 5 as the business continues to grow both through organic and acquisitional growth.  

Responsibilities include:
* Business partnering with the wider teams to understand business performance and how this translates into the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
* Acting as a conduit between finance and operational teams to help drive profitable growth
* Provide the Board with relevant and timely information to assess performance against the Group’s strategy and objectives.
* Reviewing of commercial arrangements and business cases helping to inform decision making
* Lead the annual budgeting process
* Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information to all senior management and the Board
* Lead the FP&A team, including staff recruitment, staff development, performance management and task management.
* Preparation of board materials including overseeing the preparation of monthly board packs
* Regular reporting of market performance, looking at competitors, new business ventures
* Working with the FP&A Director and other senior leaders, develop and maintain relationships with banks, PE house etc

Ideal candidate:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) 
* An ability to present financial information to colleagues in a clear, concise and confident manner
* Proven experience in finance business partnering, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Proven experience leading a small team
