Payroll Officer
Lincoln
£18 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract (5 months)
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Payroll Officer in Lincoln. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
* Process Payroll data including but not limited to variable deductions and payments, new starters, changes and leavers, Salary Sacrifice Schemes, mileage and overtime claims to meet monthly deadlines and issue monthly payslips
* Process Payroll data according to statutory requirements to meet monthly/yearly deadlines.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare written communications to the customer and other agencies to obtain information and in response to enquiries
* Produce and issue relevant tax forms, for example, P45, P60 forms to employees in accordance with HMRC requirements
* Processing of overpayments including raising invoices for leavers and liaising with the credit control team as required.
The candidate:
* 2-3 years’ experience of working in a Payroll Team
* Detailed understanding of payroll and pensions legislation, statutory payments and deductions
* Experienced administrator with an ability to interpret and implement payroll legislation.
