Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 4-6 months +
Working Hours: Full time
Working Arrangement: Predominately remote working with court & office attendance as and when required
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Civil Litigation Law to deal with a varied caseload.

Duties may include:
• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Civil Litigation to include Housing Litigation Matters
• Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
• Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
• Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
• Represent the Council and conduct advocacy where appropriate in court
This position has an attractive rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience.
