Job Description:
Children Residential Support Worker * Location: Preston
* Job Type: Full-time
* Required Experience: 2 years UK experience
* Qualifications: Level 3 in CYPW or equivalent
We are seeking a dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience working in the UK. This role is based in Preston and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children in residential care.
Day to day of the role: * Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
* Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the children’s emotional and social development.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and participate in activities that are both fun and educational.
* Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to help children and young people overcome challenges.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of the children’s progress and any incidents that occur.
* Ensure that all safeguarding policies are adhered to and any concerns are reported to the appropriate authorities.
* Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions to continuously develop professional skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in the UK.
* Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children in residential care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
* Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
