Locum Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

The trust offers a wide range of services, including emergency care, elective surgery, and maternity services. It is currently focused on major redevelopment projects to enhance facilities and patient care. Known for its urgent and emergency care, the trust aims to integrate services across its hospitals for comprehensive patient support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct home assessments for patients requiring rehabilitation, focusing on rapid response and community care.
* Provide swift responses for patient admissions and ensure effective moving and handling risk assessments.
* Prescribe and manage equipment to support patient needs.
* Collaborate with social services, continuing health care, equipment providers, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Adapt flexibly to rapid response requests across multiple locations.
Requirements:
* Valid driver’s license and access to a car for travel between locations.
* Strong competency in moving and handling.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying demands and locations.
* Excellent communication and liaison skills with social services, MDT, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Experience in community and rapid response settings is desirable.
Additional Information:
* Full-time position preferred.
* 30-minute break each working day.
