Base Location: Havant or Reading
Salary: £46,626 - £54,154 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSE’s Digital team provides application and development support for the SSEN Distribution business. This role is within our Networks Distribution IT team supporting our Digital Strategy and Vision to be a progressive network owner, using digital to enhance social and economic value, deliver a leading experience for our customers and to enable the energy system to support net zero carbon emissions.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Providing support and maintenance for software systems, including investigating, resolving issues, and making updates as needed. This will be the main focus of the role.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality of software solutions as well as communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand issues, requirements and explain technical concepts.
- Designing, developing, and testing software solutions to meet those requirements and needs.
- Deliver product backlog items across the end-to-end products as part of an agile team in a DevOps environment.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Technical mindset with an interest in technology and being tech savvy.
-  Proven experience of Microsoft Azure Functions Apps, services and logic apps as well as Microsoft Power Apps development and support including use of Dataverse and power automate. 
- Proven experience of Microsoft Dev Ops build and release pipelines, using GIT. 
-  Knowledge and experience of?software development using .NET C#.
- Systematic and detailed approach to problem solving; being able to to guide and develop other colleagues is important with the ability to take ownership of requests and prioritise your own and colleagues activities (if required) within demanding schedules.
