Job Description:
Are you an adaptable, caring and enthusiastic individual wanting to support children within a mainstream primary school?
Do you have a passion for helping children to reach their full potential? Then we want to hear from you!
We currently require a highly motivated and engaging teaching assistant to support a child in Y6 1:1 and also provide support within the class at a mainstream primary in Kirkby. The role is for a Sept 2024 start until December 2024 initially, potentially for the rest of the academic year.
You will need to have experience of supporting pupils in a primary school and ideally knowledge of the Y6 curriculum.

Requirements
* Experience working with children, preferably with special educational needs children
* Enhanced DBS on the update service
* Strong work ethic
* Able to adapt to the different needs of each child
* Flexibly adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner
Responsibilities
* Ensuring pupils stay on task by supporting them with any additional needs.
* Providing support to special educational needs children on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting
* Assisting the teacher in planning engaging lessons for the class in line with school policies
* Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support
Qualifications are not essential but are desirable.
