Job Description:
Adele Carr recruitment is working with a waste management service provider specialising in the management of end-of-life tyres and rubber wastes for retail, commercial and industrial clients. They are looking for an Operation’s Manager to join their team.
The Operations Manager will oversee the operation of the waste processing site at Wem Shropshire and the tyre collection activity in accordance with strategic planning, budgetary planning, operational best practice, and in compliance with all legislation and regulations relating to collection and disposal of waste tyres and rubber.
Directly reporting to the Directors and Shareholders, the operations Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day operational functions of the business and liaising with the wider group of companies, customers and clients.

The Role
The Operations Manager is broadly responsible for operational continuity and performance of the business through
* Always ensuring efficient functioning and timely delivery of all the business services and site processing activities through effective planning and execution.
* Measuring and reporting the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the business with an objective to continually improve and develop performance.
* Recruiting, train and develop staff to meet the needs of the business.
* Ensure so far as is reasonably and practicable, the health and safety and welfare of all employees under your supervision. To arrange suitable training and provide appropriate information and guidance on health and safety.
* Actively managing and coordinating fleet, plant, and equipment maintenance, testing, upgrade and repair as required to meet the changing requirements of a growing business.
* Supporting and assisting the Sales Team in performance of business development and sales.
* Coordination, management, and monitoring of the workings of various departments in the Kingpin business.
* Participating and contributing to the financial budget development.
* Providing Operational reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
* Providing Directors with business performance feedback.
* Establishing strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory and sector bodies to ensure business success.
* Actively supporting the Directors in execution of their duties in management of the business activities of the Group.
* Encouraging and supporting collaboration across departments and takes actions that are best for the individual.
Requirements
* CoTC level 4 / wamitab is essential
* ISOH managing safely is essential
* NEBOSH would be advantageous
