Elevation Recruitment group are working with a successful Power Generation bsuiness to help them recruit a Lead Electrical Engineer for their site near Barnsley.

The Lead Electrical Design Engineer will:
* Lead a team delivering design from feasibility to completion and handover
* Ensure that the design and maintenance of electrical systems meets legislative and safety requirements
* Prepare Electrical calculations, design, and equipment specifications
* Design control panels for generators and auxiliariesintegrating with the client’s control systems.
* Design of LV electrical solutions.
* Design of earthing and protection systems.
* Technical reviews of contractor’s proposals
* Attend factory and site acceptance tests and provide technical advice and guidance.
Essential requirements for the Lead Electrical Design Engineer:
* Experience in design of electrical LV Power and distribution and /or Control systems
* Knowledge of legislation, standards, safe working practices, and environmental best practice
* Previous experience gained within the industry or similar industries i.e. Power Generation, Electrical distribution systems, Control systems etc.
* Able to write and deliver technical specifications, control philosophies and schedules
* Understanding of designer’s responsibilities under CDM
* Proven record in mentoring and developing junior staff in design
