Duration: 3 months with the option for an extension
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: 1 day per week office attendance
Hourly Rate: £45-50 per hour
Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in partnership with a Local Authority in Greater London to recruit an Adult Social Care Lawyer to help with an increase in workload
The role of Adult Social Care Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis but owing to the nature is looking to extend on a rolling basis thereafter. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to establish themselves within a fledgling legal team and become integral to the Council
 The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven tack record of successfully managing Adult Social Care legal matters within Local Government
Duties shall include:
Provide comprehensive legal services, covering both contentious and non-contentious mattersAssist matters relating to DOLs applicationProvide general advice on more straight forward matters relating to Adult Social Care lawOffer expert advice on legal matters, responding proactively to potential judicial review threatsDraft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings and statements, addressing diverse issues within social care functionsAdvise officers on service development, ensuring lawful implementation of changes in service delivery, with a focus on compliance with the public sector equality duty Please apply for this role online or contact  Aidan Sallis or John Smith via phone or email for further information.
