The Graduate Fire Engineer
The successful fire engineer will have a relevant degree, BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng in fire engineering or a related engineering discipline, can also consider Building Surveying and Architectural degrees - if they have fire safety modules.
The Graduate Fire Engineer - Responsibilities
* Design and fire engineering analysis
* Developing fire strategies
* Complex analysis and developing innovative solutions
* Site visits and supervision of your designs for new buildings
* Liaising with construction professionals
* Identifying hazards in existing buildings
* Supporting expert witness in legal dispute resolution (for poorly built buildings)
* Develop knowledge of thermos-fluid and structural fire analysis and learn about the installation for fire safety systems
* Monitor the implementation of fire strategies and assessing existing builds
* Must be a good problem solver
* Highly organised
* Able to work within a team and independently
* Self-motivated
