Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled People Partner to join a public sector organisation. The role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) and is based in Birmingham within the Human Resources team.

Our client is a reputable public sector organisation with around 1,000 employees. They are dedicated to promoting fairness and integrity, with a strong focus on improving public services in London.
Description
* Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
* Managing complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, and grievances.
* Overseeing the recruitment and selection process.
* Supporting business needs through the development and delivery of the people strategy.
* Leading the HR team in the delivery of a comprehensive HR service to the business.
* Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Reporting and metrics: providing reports on key HR metrics to assist with business decisions.
* Managing and overseeing the performance management process.
Profile
A successful People Partner should have:
* Proven experience as an HR generalist with a strong understanding of all HR functions.
* Previous experience managing employee relations caseload, project work, policy writing and advising line managers.
* Excellent people management skills and the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
* Strong problem-solving ability, and the capacity to make sound decisions based on data.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
