Role: Trustee Services Executive 
Location: Ipswich

Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Trustee Services Executive to oversee and deal with all aspects of the will writing and power of attorney services. Oversight of and dealing with all matters in connection with estate administration (executorships). Assisting with the training and development of junior members of the Team. Providing technical help and support to other areas of the business.
Key Accountabilities

* Trusts
* Decision Making
Management/Oversight
* Carrying our regular one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals for all members of the wills/LPAs and estates team (including administration staff)
* Dealing with holiday requests
* Providing technical training/ensuring competence and development of team
* Checking various aspects of junior members’ work (e.g. drafted, estate accounts)
* Assisting with decision-making
* Reviewing processes and assessing risks
Requirements
* At least 5 years’ experience of dealing with Wills, LPA’s and estates
* A full UK driving licence (and be willing to travel to visit clients in their homes or to visit estate properties)  
* Full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP)
* Good knowledge of the laws surrounding wills and lasting powers of attorney and experience in dealing with these
* Experience of dealing with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) and Court of Protection
* Awareness of opportunities and implications of “post death” tax planning (Deeds of Variation etc)
* Strong interpersonal skills to be able to deal with bereaved family members at a sensitive time
* Knowledge of trust law, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and accounting principals
* Diligent, thorough worker who is able to work unsupervised on all matters
* Ability to judge between priorities of similar degrees of importance is essential
* Ability to judge new business opportunities and how these should be progressed.
* Willingness to play a significant part in marketing all relevant areas of Trustee Services business
Contractual Hours
9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
