Job Description:
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a successful business based on the Fylde Coast. This is a brand new role where you will be required to oversee and execute project plans to ensure timely completion within budget constraints. The role involves defining and monitoring project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives, while ensuring compliance with quality standards, policies, and regulations. The Project Manager will be a key player in communicating project status, managing risks, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution - developing, initiating, and overseeing detailed project plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Scope and Quality Management - defining and managing project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting - tracking and reporting on project performance against short-term and long-term objectives, regularly updating stakeholders on project status, including risks and progress, through meetings and reports
Risk and Issue Management - identifying, assessing, and developing mitigation strategies for potential project risks, monitoring and managing project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
Documentation and Process Analysis - maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, risk logs, and progress reports, analysing business practices and procedures, documenting current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Business Requirements and Change Management - collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and create functional specifications, supporting the development of business cases for change and design optimized future-state processes and systems
PMO Support - assisting the Head of Change and Delivery in managing the Project Management Office, upholding PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices
Frameworks and Methodologies - contributing to the development and maintenance of project management frameworks, tools, and templates
Qualifications / Skills:
* Certification: Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in project management, with proficiency in methodologies and tools.
* Business Analysis: Experience in business analysis and process improvement is desirable.
* Skills - excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in project management software, including Excel and MS Project, understanding of agile methodologies
