The position of SHE Coordinator is critical to the provision of effective support to the EGL SHESQ Team and EGL governance processes.
The Scotland to England Eastern Green Link (EGL) project portfolio consists of number of Joint Venture mega projects circa £5 billion per project which will play a critical role in the achievement of the UK’s net zero targets, connecting the low carbon electricity resources in the north of Scotland to demand centres in the south.
The project is implementing a progressive approach to delivering Zero Harm to people, communities, the environment and through a fair contribution to society through collaborative, engaging and innovative approaches with internal and external stakeholders.

We currently have an opportunity for a proactive, enthusiastic SHE Co-ordinator who will work within the team and across the EGL portfolio.
About the Role
As a SHE Coordinator you will be part of an integrated SHESQ team which is driven by the desire to deliver zero harm to people, the environment and our stakeholders in a fast paced, exciting and positive environment.
The responsibilities of the SHE coordinator include:
- Provide administrative support to the Lead SHESQ Manager and wider functional managers.
- Independently take over sub-tasks or specific projects from the Lead and Functional Manager and bring them to a successful conclusion.
- Own the functioning and day to day management of several EGL SHESQ related activities and tools including: governance, training, events reporting, investigation, training, induction, data quality reviews and communications.
- Provision of SHE information, performance reports, dashboards, and communications to stakeholders: KPIs and supported programmes, that inform SHE strategies and initiatives as required.
- Participate in the development and roll out of procedures, processes, tools and initiatives from development through to implementation and communication.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Self-starter with drive and ability to organise and prioritise workload under own initiative to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in delivery of project & SHE governance processes involving data management, performance reporting and document management in large organisations.
- Work well under pressure with good attention to detail and agile to business needs.
- Confident determined personality with good interpersonal skills with ability to engage, influence and communicate effectively with a broad range of project functional stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge and experience to a high standard with various data collection, analysis, communication and project management tools.
