Prospero are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist unit supporting students with additional learning needs and social, emotional and mental health issues. . . You need to hold experience of working with young people this post will focus on encouraging children to engage with the basics of the curriculum, and dealing with behavioural challenges. . . You will be able to demonstrate skills in relating to children who have barriers to learning, including additional learning needs. . . You will be able to communicate and deal with pupils in a calm but firm manner in small groups or on a one to one basis, both in school, ensuring that every student is making progress in line with their ability. . You will ideally have a wealth of experience of working with pupils who can demonstrate challenging behaviours. . The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable . GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate . TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: . Hold Right to Work in the UK . Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application .
