Job Description:
Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an enthusiastic Centre Manager to lead a team of staff supporting pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education.. If you are experienced in managing pupil behaviour in a PRU or SEMH setting and pro active at student engagement, then we want to hear from you! . . Are you familiar with pupil attendance and safeguarding procedures, have experience of delivering reintegration and restorative practices as well as SEMH interventions?. . You need to be comfortable dealing with pupil attendance, safeguarding procedures, SEMH interventions and restorative practices. The organisation is a specialist Pupil Referral Unit who consistently liaises with the family, parents, and carers to enable the best engagement for the students. . . The person we are looking for will have the experience, skills and knowledge to fulfil the requirements of the job description and person specification, including:. · In depth knowledge and understanding of issues affecting young people not attending mainstream school and their families, including barriers to learning and ways of supporting young people to overcome those barriers and achieve their full potential.. · Experience of leading on the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of both structured and informal education sessions with groups of young people, that link into a programme of personal and social development.. · Experience of identifying the needs of young people and using appropriate and effective interventions to meet that need.. · A knowledge of procedures relating to the safeguarding of young people and the willingness to undertake relevant training when required and accept responsibility for the discharge of duties on all staff effectively to safeguard young people.. . . CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS. * Location - Centres across Manchester. * Position - Centre Manager. * Start date - Sept 2024 . * End date (if applicable) - July 2025. * Contract type - Long term temp. * Full time/part time - Full time. * Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £200 per day. * Hours - 8:15 am - 4pm. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS. * QTS, PGCE or equivalent. * Previous experience working in a UK school. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:. * Hold Right to Work in the UK. * Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application. * Provide two professional child related references.
