Job Title: Ecology Manager (Principal Level)
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience

A company who provides highway, fleet management and maintenance services across the East Midlands are looking for an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their team in Nottingham.

Responsibilities as Ecology Manager
* Guide the ecology team in providing environmental services that support business objectives.
* Set priorities and efficiently allocate resources within the team.
* Utilise ecological knowledge to successfully complete projects and meet goals.
* Oversee ecological planning and act as an expert witness when necessary.
* Offer expert ecological guidance to ensure compliance and project success.
* Identify opportunities for improving ecology services.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve desired outcomes.
* Hold team members responsible for following standards and protocols.
* Represent projects and the company professionally in various settings.
Ecology Manager Criteria
* BSc/MSc in ecology or similar relevant field (essential)
* Extensive relevant experience (5+ years)(essential)
* Mixture of field and recent consultancy experience
* Extensive BNG knowledge and experience
* Full UK driving licence
