Job Description:
A leading integrated transport authority, known for our iconic status and commitment to technological innovation are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team.

Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced and dynamic Commercial Managers to join our P&C team. The roles cover various areas including Fleet, Infrastructure, London Trams, Rail, Sponsored Services, and Indirects. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for pre and post-contract management, ensuring the successful procurement and delivery of high-value, high-profile contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop procurement strategies, category plans, and specific procurement plans.
Manage procurement activities including prequalification, tendering, negotiation, and contract award.
Prepare and manage contract documentation, including clarifying price, deliverables, and obligations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with commercial agreements and supplier performance.
Oversee cost analysis, benchmarking, and estimating.
Chair performance meetings with suppliers and manage performance improvement plans.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Areas:

Fleet: Manage a portfolio of complex supply contracts related to the £500m Central Line Improvement Project (CLIP).
Infrastructure: Support the delivery of diverse capital projects including lifts, escalators, signals, and power systems.
London Trams: Work on operational and project-related contracts within the tram network, covering maintenance and improvements.
Rail and Sponsored Services: Manage end-to-end sourcing and contract management for services including the London Cable Car, Woolwich Ferry, and more.
Indirects: Source goods and services across categories such as Customer & Revenue, Professional Services, and Vehicles.
Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in procurement management, contract management, and negotiation.
Strong numeracy and data analysis skills.
Effective stakeholder and supplier relationship management.
Knowledge of NEC contracts and ability to manage contract administration (essential for some roles).
Familiarity with EU Regulations for public sector procurement (desirable).
Membership or working towards membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIPS) (desirable).
