Job Description:
KiddyKare is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join a specialist centre in Reading. As a Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in providing early intervention and support to multiple families. Here are the key details:
* Responsibilities: * Organize regular coffee mornings, parent workshops, and social activities based on families’ needs and requests.
* Offer personalised 1:1 support to families through various channels (home visits, phone calls, emails, etc.).
* Accompany families to appointments with other professionals.
* Provide information, support, and referrals to parents and carers in a non-judgmental manner.
* Assist families in navigating the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) process, including Education, Health, and Care Plans.
* Collaborate with local authorities, professionals, and settings to support children and families.
* Maintain accurate caseload records and meet monthly KPIs.
* Stay informed about SEND resources and developments.
* Skills: * Proficient in maintaining client records and tracking progress.
* Skilled at building relationships with other professionals and organizations.
* Approachable, empathetic, and non-judgmental when interacting with parents.
* Strong team player.
* Knowledgeable about child development.
* Empowers parents to take an active role in their family’s well-being.
* Salary: £25,500
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
