Job Description:
Job Title: First Line IT Support Engineer
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: £25,000
Are you a tech-savvy professional looking to kickstart your career in IT support?
We are working with a dynamic and growing managed service provider based in Birmingham. We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic First Line IT Support Engineer to be the first point of contact for our clients’ IT issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the initial point of contact for all IT-related queries and issues.
* Provide support for Office 365, including user management, troubleshooting, and application support.
* Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments
* Address networking issues, including connectivity and performance problems.
* Offer hardware support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
* Escalate complex issues to higher-level support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system.
* Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar IT support role.
* Strong knowledge of Office 365, Windows Servers, and networking fundamentals.
* Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and support.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
