Financial Accountant - FinTech

I am currently working exclusively with a boutique FinTech firm to find a Financial Accountant. The company offers a variety of investment and trading services through its numerous business lines. The role has been created due to the ongoing growth YOY and increasing client base.
As a Financial Account you have responsible for the P&L, client money reporting, month-end financial and management reporting, assisting with regulatory and tax submissions and the annual audit process. Other duties include:
* Preparing and posting journals to the ledger (Xero) and performing analytic reviews as part of month-end.
* Prepare management P&L numbers for all business units.
* Prepare monthly financial reports, including commentary and analysis of variances.
* Prepare alongside reviewing daily P&L and client money reporting
* Assist with the annual audit process, ensuring the timely production of financial information.
* Liaison with the auditors and production of the annual report and accounts.
* Identify problems, issues or inefficiencies, communicate them and offers solutions.

Candidate Profile
* Candidate will be a ACA, CA qualified accountant
* Strong knowledge of Excel, accounting systems and BI applications
* A confident communicator with a positive attitude
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong time management and multi-tasking skills with propensity to take the initiative
