Job Description:
An exciting position has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join a national regulatory body based in Central London. The postholder will play a key role in the delivery of effective financial services to the Executive team and other budget holders.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead on the accurate and timely production of financial information including monthly management accounts with relevant variance analysis and appropriate commentary
* To oversee the production of monthly accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and other accounting journals into the accounting system
* To support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles playing a key role in maintaining working papers and supporting documentation
* Provide business partnering support across the business, working with budget holders to ensure that their performance against budget is understood
* Identify business trends, variations in performance and expense control, making sure they are subject to robust challenge and analysis, whilst highlighting any areas for improvement
* Support the finance leads in the development and delivery of long-term financial plans
* To develop and maintain structured training for non-financial employees in the operation of financial systems
* Prepare information to support the delivery of the annual financial statements and consult with internal and external auditors on queries and issues relating to the management accounts
* Develop and maintain a framework for accurately tracking spend on projects and programmes of work
Successful candidate profile:
* Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
* Keen attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
* Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and a working knowledge of computerised financial software
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex numerical information effectively
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Working pattern: Hybrid, once a week in the office
Hours: 35 per week
