Job Description:
Retirement Living Officer
Contract type:        2 m +
Hours:                   35 hrs
Location:               Evesham
Venn Group are seeking an experienced homeless retirement living officer for an immediate start!
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* To effectively manage referrals, offers, complete tenancy sign ups, process terminations, void checks and undertake new tenancy visits.
* Liaise with local authority housing and social services and other stakeholder statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure the timely allocation of properties.
* Carry out regular monitoring inspections at schemes including routine health and safety checks.
* To work with the Income Team to ensure that income collection is maintained in accordance with set targets.
* Ensure prompt and efficient turnaround of tenancies to keep rent loss to a minimum.
* Identify, plan, and implement health and wellbeing plans for vulnerable customers with their agreement and initiate changes to the plan in line with changing customer needs and aspirations.
* To develop and sustain effective relationships with external partners and stakeholders and represent the organisation in a positive manner to ensure positive outcomes.
* Develop activities designed to improve and maintain physical and mental wellbeing
* Undertake annual housing pathway visits and simple health and wellbeing assessments to measure ongoing individual and group progress.
* Refer to signpost customers to statutory agencies, charities or other organisations that can help their health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will have:
* Desired- Professional housing or related qualification Level 3 or working towards
* Knowledge of current housing legislation including welfare benefits
* Ability to work under own initiative and manage difficult situations.
* Experience providing information, advice and guidance and dealing with problems and complaints promptly and effectively
* Drives with access to own car
* Enhanced DBS
