Our local authority client based in East London are urgently seeking an experienced Digital Communications Officer.
*£31.25 an hour Umbrella*
JOB SUMMARY:
Advising and running social media channels to promote the work and message of the Mayor of Tower Hamlets and his Cabinet.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Develop a social media strategy for the Mayor, and maintain and create content for Mayor of Tower Hamlets social media channels in order to implement that strategy.
* Advise Mayor and Cabinet on all relevant social media matters
* Use social media channels to promote the message and activities of the Mayor of Tower Hamlets
* Develop, maintain and edit the mayoral blog.
* Work with stakeholders to optimise social media presence
* Use KPIs and metrics to constantly improve the reach and engagement of social media channels
* Attend events and engagements where appropriate to take photos and promote on social media
* Report back regularly on progress on social media and raise any relevant issues with the Mayor and comms team.
* Draft a social media code of conduct to be distributed to cabinet members, and support ongoing social media output of Cabinet members.
* Liaise with Mayor’s Office and Comms team to ensure smooth running of socials, and coordination between all departments and social media channels.
