Civil Engineer (Marine/Estimator)

£60,000 NEG + £100k OTE + Company Vehicle + Private Healthcare Package + 10% Pension

The company are a principal marine contractor based in Devon with an excess of 31 years of expertise as a marine contractor within the civil engineering sector who specialise in marine construction, commercial diving, civil construction, piling, marine plant hire, harbours & marinas, flood defences, inland waterways, plant hire and emergency repairs.
You will be responsible for estimating marine project around the UK but must be in Devon weekly to report to the Estimating Manager. Hours of work are 07:30 to 17:30 Monday To Friday and a company vehicle will be provided.
The role:
* Provide nationwide UK estimating coverage for a principal marine contractor
* Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects in a timely and efficient manner
* Control of the estimating process at project level
* Production of estimates on multi-disciplinary projects
* Supporting development and promotion of estimating best practice
* Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise
The person:
* Civil Engineer ideally with experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying or Marine Civil Engineering Relevant experience providing estimating and/or cost planning.
* Understanding of project management, planning, and risk:
* Understanding of cost planning and experience of producing first principles estimates.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of working in a client facing environment.
