Job Description:
* Caseload Management: Independently manage a small, complex caseload including high-risk children, high-profile court work, and specialist assessments.

* Direct Work: Conduct high-quality direct work with children, young people, and families using the Signs of Safety methodology, ensuring compliance with Children’s Services policies and regulatory standards.

* Family Assessments: Lead family network meetings and conduct in-depth family assessments, focusing on social needs and parental capacity to change.

* Team Support: Co-work specialist assessments with less experienced team members to aid their development and improve outcomes.

* Risk Recognition: Identify indicators of harm to children, including various forms of abuse, exploitation, and risky adult behaviors, while recognizing potential for children as perpetrators.

* Professional Development: Use reflective supervision and seek advice from senior practice leaders and other practitioners to address professional limitations and enhance practice.

* Legal Navigation: Navigate family and youth justice systems, making decisions about court applications and preparing and presenting evidence.

* Legal Consultation: Seek second opinions on legal issues and interventions impacting children, young people, and families.

* Informed Decision-Making: Use law, statutory guidance, and professional ethics to inform practice decisions, create child-centered plans, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
