Job Description:
Experienced and dedicated mental health nurse & learning disabilities nurse required to work in a challenging environment where you can provide support when patients require specialist mental health input across clinical areas.
Description: * Co-ordinate and provide care and treatment to an identified group of patients without direct supervision.
* Manage and organize work as required.
* Take responsibility for the development and delivery of evidence-based practice, ensuring that it supports and reflects service user individual needs, Trust objectives, and professional guidance.
* Contribute to the development of high-quality evidence-based in-patient services in a changing healthcare environment.
* Ensure the ward functions as an integral part of the Directorate’s services.
* Communicate effectively with all relevant personnel, both internal and external to the Trust.
* Practice within professional guidelines and promote professional practice in clinical areas.
* Ensure continuous personal development through the utilization of regular supervision, annual appraisal, and training where appropriate.
Experience: * Working with people with mental health problems/learning disabilities.
* Managing challenging and aggressive behavior.
* Working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Providing individualized and culturally sensitive care.
Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
* Minimizing clinical risk and reducing restrictive practices.
* Time management to meet deadlines.
* Ability to recognize stress.
* Teamwork.
* Sensitivity and compassion in patient care.
* Emotional intelligence and personal resilience.
* Knowledge of mental health presentations and appropriate interventions.
* Familiarity with the NMC Code of Conduct.
