Family Solicitor (Locum)
* Location: Farnham, Surrey
* Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid
* Salary: Circa £200-300 per day – depending on experience
We are currently seeking a skilled Family Solicitor to join our team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will handle a range of family law cases, providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients. This role is ideal for a solicitor with a strong background in family law who is looking for flexible working arrangements.
Day to day of the role:
* Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements.
* Manage cases with a client-focused approach, ensuring clear communication and the highest standard of legal service.
* Draft and review legal documents, such as petitions, orders, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
* Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings when necessary.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law and any changes in legislation that may impact clients.
* Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate.
* Significant experience in family law, with a track record of managing a diverse caseload.
* Strong advocacy skills and experience in court proceedings.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
