Job Description:
Title: University Access Officer
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay:£23,400 (£14,040) per annum
Duration: 3 days per week, Fixed Term, until August 2025 with potential of extension.
Reed - Further Education are seeking a University Access Officer to support students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities.
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a University Access Officer?
* Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
* Match students with volunteer tutors
* Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
* Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
* Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
* Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
* Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
* Previous experience working with post-16 students
* Previous experience assisting students with UCAS applications
* Able to deliver projects and manage administration accurately
* Able to communicate and influence with impact at all levels
* Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
* Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
