Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across functions and the business, ensuring clear communications and sharing of information.
* Project Management: Apply understanding of project management principles to oversee complex projects and ensure timely delivery.
* Communication and Leadership: Lead and present to senior stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills across all media.
* Regulatory and Accounting Expertise: Leverage extensive experience in regulatory reporting and accounting to operate effectively in Finance, Risk, and technical environments.
* Operational Readiness: Serve as a vital link into delivery teams, ensuring quality in operational readiness planning and seamless transition to new processes.
* Requirements Gathering: Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering and documentation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
* Change Management: Drive change initiatives with a positive, can-do attitude, inspiring team members to embrace improvements and adopt new practices.
* Process Mapping: Utilise process mapping and system tools to create efficient and effective finance processes, ensuring alignment with the bank’s operational structure.
Qualifications / skills / experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is desirable (but not essential).
* Programme, project or change management qualifications desirable (but not essential) (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, AgilePM, etc.)
* Project management software, especially JIRA.
* Extensive experience in a regulatory or finance/accounting-focused role within a banking environment.
* Proven ability to build and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong understanding of finance operations and processes, particularly within a retail banking context.
* Experience with UK regulatory and / or statutory reporting.
* Demonstrated experience in managing a team and working collaboratively in a Finance Change environment.
* Solid understanding of financial control, regulatory reporting, stress testing, and financial planning and analysis.
