Job Description:
I’m recruiting for an Oceanfreight Clerk to join an expanding freight company based in the Birmingham area. You must have Import OR Export experience.
Daily duties will include:
* Booking freight with approved carriers / lines
* Developing and building relationships with clients
* Handling queries
* Ensuring pre alert documents are on hand prior to vessel arrival
* Updating customers on shipments
* Arranging collection and delivery
* Liaising with customers and overseas agents
Experience needed:
* Hands on operational experience in an oceanfreight role import OR export
* Strong PC skills
* Minimum 2 years experience working for a freight forwarding company
* Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Working hours:
* Monday - Friday 0900am - 1730pm
